Smarter Credit Handling for Your Own API Keys

This release is infrastructure-focused, no new screens or buttons, but meaningful plumbing that affects how the platform handles credits when you run AI features through your own API keys. It sets the stage for more accurate, fair credit accounting across all builders and tools.

Infrastructure

  • BYOK Credit Routing: EnginifyAI supports connecting your own API keys for providers like OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and xAI. This update introduces the internal logic that determines whether an AI request should draw from your platform credit balance or route directly through your personal key. When you’ve connected your own key for a provider, usage through that provider won’t count against your monthly platform credits. This behavior will be wired to all AI-powered features in upcoming releases.
