Custom Prompts UX polish: Unified Toolbars and Cleaner Grids

Custom Prompts UX gets a consistency and polish pass across the browse, manage, run, and section-library surfaces. Nothing about how Custom Prompts work has changed under the hood; this release is about making the surfaces feel like one coherent product instead of a set of pages that grew in slightly different directions. The rest of the post is grouped by app area.

Highlights

• Unified run-page toolbar: Custom Prompts run page now uses the standard Expand/Edit/Copy/Export toolbar for both prompt and output.
• Consistent action buttons: Generate, Run this prompt, and Run again now share one shape and color instead of three one-off styles.
• Cleaner stat cards: New Private and Global counts, plus a unified color palette across the browse and manage pages.
• Section Libraries polish: Tab-aware “New” button, tighter action bar, and a fix for the stale-data flash on tab switch.

Custom Prompts

• Improved: The run page (Custom Prompts → run) now uses the same toolbar you already know from the rest of the app for both the prompt and the generated output: Expand/Collapse, Edit, Show Raw/Formatted, Copy, and Export (HTML, MD, or TXT). Previously the prompt lived in a plain dark code block with a single copy icon overlapping the text, and the output had no controls at all.
• Improved: The generated output now lives in its own section directly below the prompt, instead of being nested inside the prompt card. It reads more clearly and gives the output room to breathe when you expand or edit it.
• Improved: The main action buttons on the run page (Generate/Regenerate, Run this prompt, Run again) are now the same shape, size, and color as action buttons everywhere else in the app. Previously each was styled differently: one bold gradient pill, one small teal pill, one purple text link.
• Improved: The Generate button now reads “Regenerate Prompt” once a prompt already exists, so it is clear you are replacing what is on screen rather than starting fresh.
• Improved: The run page now defaults to a two-column layout for prompt and output. If you have already chosen a different layout it is remembered, so your preference still wins. Inline edits to prompt and output text stay on screen as you work.
• New: The Custom Prompts browse and manage pages now show Private and Global stat cards alongside the existing counts, so you can see at a glance how your library breaks down between your own cards and the shared global set.
• Improved: The stat cards across both pages now use one distinct color per label (Cards purple, Private pink, Global teal, Categories blue, Favorites yellow, Runs orange). Previously Private was gray and two of the other stats shared a blue/indigo tone that made them hard to tell apart at a glance.
• Improved: Card spacing in the two, three, and four-column grid views has been tightened, so the gap between description and action bar no longer feels disconnected.
• Improved: The primary create button now reads “Create Card” instead of “Create a Prompt”, matching how the rest of the interface refers to Custom Prompt cards. The redundant “My Libraries” header button has been removed, and the per-card hover action reads “Edit Card” instead of “Edit prompt”.
• Improved: The Section Libraries page now shows a tab-aware “New” button: the My tab shows New Section Library, and the Curated tab (visible to admins) shows New Curated Library. Previously both buttons were shown at once, which made it easy to click the wrong one.
• Improved: The Section Libraries action bar is cleaner: the edit label now reads “Edit Sections” instead of just “Edit”, the Favorite action sits directly next to Delete, and the three and four-column grid views use icon-only actions to keep cards compact. The two-column view keeps text labels for readability.
• Improved: The Custom Prompts create page now labels the shortcut to section libraries as “Manage Section Libraries” instead of the ambiguous “Manage Libraries”.
• Fixed: Switching between the My and Curated tabs on the Section Libraries page briefly flashed the other tab’s cards before the correct set loaded. The list now clears immediately and shows a loader while the new tab fetches, so you never see the wrong content.

Across the App

• Removed: The Beta badges have been removed from the left sidebar. The features they marked have been in daily use long enough that the label was more distracting than informative.
