Prompt Card Editor Upgrades and Workflow Rerun Safeguard

07/13/2026

Version: 2.2.0, Date: July 13, 2026

The prompt card editor gets a significant upgrade in this release, alongside a Section Library UX refresh, a safety net for workflow reruns, and quieter but important reliability work across access checks and the BYOK-to-platform key handoff. The rest of the post is grouped by app area.

Highlights

  • New field authoring controls in the prompt card editor: default values, help text, placeholders, numeric and date constraints, custom Yes/No labels, slider steps, and multi-select limits.
  • Section Library refresh: the “Default” bucket is now Loose Sections, stat tiles line up with the cards shown, Clone & Customize opens the editor immediately, and an unsaved-changes guard protects your work.
  • Workflow rerun protection: a confirmation step now appears before a rerun wipes step outputs.
  • Unified access across Custom Cards, Analyzers, and Workflows: one consistent access check that covers subscription, trial, lifetime, and AppSumo plans.

Prompt Cards

  • New: The card editor now supports a much richer set of field authoring options. When you build a card, you can set default values, add help text, define placeholder text, apply numeric and date constraints, customize the Yes/No labels on toggles, set slider steps, and cap multi-select fields at a maximum. These options round-trip cleanly through cloning, saving, loading, and freezing, so what you configure is what gets used everywhere the card runs.
  • New: The “allows” configuration on fields now round-trips reliably through clone, save, load, and freeze. Restrictions you set stay in place through every path a card can travel.
  • Improved: Duplicating another user’s card, or an admin adopting an orphaned card, now freezes any owner-private section references into a self-contained copy. Sections no longer vanish after the copy is made.
  • Fixed: Empty override option arrays no longer quietly override valid options. Fields render the intended choices instead of an empty state.
  • Fixed: Unsupported or empty-option fields now render an explicit placeholder, so it is obvious at a glance which field needs attention rather than showing an ambiguous blank.

Section Library

  • Improved: The “Default” bucket has been renamed to Loose Sections so its purpose is clearer at a glance. Stat tiles at the top of the page now reconcile with the cards actually shown in the current view, and tooltips explain what each tile is counting.
  • Improved: Clone & Customize now opens the editor immediately, so you go straight from picking a section to editing your copy without an extra step.
  • Improved: The card editor now has an unsaved-changes guard. If you try to navigate away with pending edits, you get a chance to save before losing them.
  • Improved: The “Generate” button on Purpose fields is now labeled Auto-write, which better reflects what it actually does.
  • Improved: Icons in the section editor have been reorganized into clearer categories, and the icon tabs are now alphabetized so you can find what you need faster.
  • Fixed: Opening a bucket from the Curated tab used to sometimes land you in the wrong bucket. Loose Sections and the other buckets now open exactly where you clicked.

Workflows

  • New: Rerunning a workflow now prompts for confirmation before it wipes existing step outputs. If you meant to click something else, or want to save your current results first, you get the chance to cancel.

Across the App

  • Improved: Access checks for Custom Cards, Analyzers, and Workflows now run through a single, consistent gate that recognizes every active plan type: subscription, trial, and lifetime. If your plan is active, you get access everywhere it applies, with no more edge cases where one feature area disagrees with another.
  • Improved: When you use your own AI provider keys (BYOK) and a request falls back to the platform key, that handoff is now more reliable. Quota checks always run before the fallback, so you get the same predictable behavior whether the request runs on your key or the platform’s.
