Library Sharing: Share a Library, Share Its Prompts
Version: 2.25.0, Date: September 10, 2026
Library sharing used to be recorded in two places, on the library and on each prompt, and the two could disagree. A prompt marked private inside a shared library was readable by everyone anyway, because the library setting won. There is now one setting. The library is the thing you share, and every prompt in it comes along.
Libraries
- Improved: A library is Private by default, with Team reserved for a later release and Global for sharing. That single choice decides who can read the library and everything inside it.
- Improved: Library creation, search, listing and management all read and write the one setting, so what you see on one screen matches what you see on another.
- Improved: Nothing changed hands when this shipped. None of the 125 libraries were public and none of the 1,629 prompts were flagged public, so no content became visible to anyone new.
Prompts
- Fixed: Prompt version history was unreachable. A faulty rule blocked every read and write of a prompt’s versions regardless of the other rules around it. That rule is gone and version history works as intended.
- Removed: The per prompt sharing setting. A prompt is never shared on its own, because it always belongs to a library. It inherits whatever the library is set to.
