Analyzer Categories Join the Shared Categories System

09/06/2026

Version: 2.17.0, Date: September 6, 2026

Highlights

  • One category system: analyzers use the same Categories building block as everything else, so you manage categories in one place.
  • Up to three categories per analyzer, chosen with the same picker you already know.
  • Categories filtered per page: analyzer categories stay out of blueprints, and the reverse.
  • Readable card icons on every list page, whatever color you picked.

Analyzer categories used to be a separate system with 26 fixed options and their own dropdown. They now come from the shared Categories building block, which means the categories you create are available to your analyzers, and the categories you make for an analyzer can be reused elsewhere. Every existing analyzer keeps the category it had.

Analyzers

  • New: The create and edit pages use the shared category picker and allow up to three categories per analyzer.
  • Improved: The Analyzer Setup card now matches the Blueprint layout, in this order: name, short description, categories, what to evaluate, skill level, icon and color, visibility.
  • Improved: The icon and color pickers have moved from the Save card up into Analyzer Setup. On the edit page the Save card now carries Save Changes, Save and Exit and Save and Run It on one row, with Delete on its own row underneath.
  • Improved: Browse Analyzers and My Analyzers use the shared category filter and category chips in place of the old 26 item grouped menus.
  • Improved: Duplicating an analyzer now copies its categories across to the copy.
  • Improved: Prompt action sets on the run page still resolve exactly as before, so nothing changes about the actions an analyzer offers.
  • Removed: The separate analyzer category list and its dropdown. Everything moved to the shared taxonomy.

Building Blocks

  • New: Categories can be limited to the features they appear in. A category picker only offers the categories that belong to that page, so analyzer categories no longer clutter the blueprint picker.
  • New: An icon picker is now among the Categories and Subcategories card actions, alongside Color, Edit and Delete, matching Topics, Variables and Sections.
  • Improved: Filtering only limits what a dropdown offers you. A category already attached to something still shows as a chip even if it belongs to a different feature, so saving again never silently drops it.

Across the App

  • Fixed: On several list pages the tile behind a card’s icon was filled with the full color and the icon forced to white, which made some icons hard to see and others invisible. The tile now uses a light tint of your color and the icon uses normal text color, matching the look on the custom cards page. The colored bar along the bottom of each card still uses the full color. This applies to Analyzers, My Analyzers, Chains, Prompt Builders, and the Categories, Sections, Topics and Variables building blocks.

Blueprint Composer Gets Locked Default Sections

09/13/2026

Version: 2.33.0, Date: September 13, 2026 Highlights The blueprint composer had two pieces that could be moved and edited but should never have been: Main Idea and AI Model sat in Blueprint Sections alongside the sections you actually assemble, and the preview offered a text box for a main idea that the person running the […]

Topic Pack Focus: Choose the Stages Your Pack Covers

09/13/2026

Version: 2.32.0, Date: September 13, 2026 Highlights Topic pack focus is a new, optional section in “Add topics” that tells generation what the pack is for. Leave it closed and everything works exactly as it did. Open it and you choose the stages your topics should cover, which turns a general list into one built […]

Topic Popup Now Names the Topic You Are Editing

09/12/2026

Version: 2.31.4, Date: September 12, 2026 The topic popup did not tell you which topic you had opened, which is easy to lose track of in a large pack. It does now, and the A to Z sorting is split so you can order topics and subtopics independently. Building Blocks

Subtopic Generation Stays on Topic and on Count

09/12/2026

Version: 2.31.3, Date: September 12, 2026 Subtopic generation inside “Edit topic” now does what the name suggests. Generating from that window used to be able to create new topics rather than adding to the one you opened, and the count you set was a starting point rather than a result, because anything filtered out as […]
