Category Availability Now Defaults to Every Feature

09/07/2026

Version: 2.18.0, Date: September 7, 2026

Highlights

  • Categories work everywhere by default, including features added later.
  • “Available in” makes narrowing a category a visible, deliberate choice.
  • Duplicate any analyzer you can see, including the built in ones.
  • Auto-write drafts prompt content from your title and description.

Category availability was too tight. v2.17.0 let a category be limited to particular features, and a category created from a picker was silently limited to that picker’s feature, so you could make a category in one place and then wonder why it was missing in another. Categories are now offered everywhere unless you decide otherwise.

Building Blocks

  • New: An “Available in” field on a main category’s edit window: All features, or Only these, with a checkbox per feature. A narrowed category carries a badge such as “Analyzers only” on the Categories list and on its own page, so you can always see why it appears in one place and not another.
  • Improved: A category with no limit set is offered everywhere, including in features added after you created it. Every new category starts that way, wherever you create it.
  • Improved: Subcategories follow their parent, so the field appears only on main categories.
  • Improved: Creating a category from a picker no longer limits it to that picker’s feature.
  • Improved: Prompt libraries have their own entry in the list rather than sharing the blueprints one.
  • Fixed: Trimming an AI written category description used a faulty rule that stripped trailing “s” characters instead of cutting at a word boundary.

Analyzers

  • New: Anyone can duplicate any analyzer they can see: their own, the built in ones and shared ones. The copy is always private to you, keeps its categories, and counts toward your analyzer limit. Browse Analyzers has a Duplicate button in every view, and it opens the copy’s edit page.
  • Improved: Auto-write needs only a name. The short description, “what to evaluate”, Generate, Regenerate, Sample and Test no longer require a category first, and any categories you have attached are sent along as extra context. A category is still needed to save, and the create page now says so next to the Save buttons.
  • Improved: Analyzer names can be up to 80 characters, up from 30, on create, edit, duplicate and generation.

Prompts

  • New: Auto-write on the prompt create page drafts a complete prompt from your title and description, with bracketed placeholders for the details you fill in at run time. Anything already in the box is treated as your notes, and the page asks before replacing it. It uses the same credit and key handling as every other Auto-write button.

Libraries

  • New: Saving to a new library now offers Auto-write on both the library name and its description, drafted from the prompt’s title, description and content.

Blueprint Composer Gets Locked Default Sections

09/13/2026

Version: 2.33.0, Date: September 13, 2026 Highlights The blueprint composer had two pieces that could be moved and edited but should never have been: Main Idea and AI Model sat in Blueprint Sections alongside the sections you actually assemble, and the preview offered a text box for a main idea that the person running the […]

Topic Pack Focus: Choose the Stages Your Pack Covers

09/13/2026

Version: 2.32.0, Date: September 13, 2026 Highlights Topic pack focus is a new, optional section in “Add topics” that tells generation what the pack is for. Leave it closed and everything works exactly as it did. Open it and you choose the stages your topics should cover, which turns a general list into one built […]

Topic Popup Now Names the Topic You Are Editing

09/12/2026

Version: 2.31.4, Date: September 12, 2026 The topic popup did not tell you which topic you had opened, which is easy to lose track of in a large pack. It does now, and the A to Z sorting is split so you can order topics and subtopics independently. Building Blocks

Subtopic Generation Stays on Topic and on Count

09/12/2026

Version: 2.31.3, Date: September 12, 2026 Subtopic generation inside “Edit topic” now does what the name suggests. Generating from that window used to be able to create new topics rather than adding to the one you opened, and the count you set was a starting point rather than a result, because anything filtered out as […]
