Custom Prompts: Build Your Own Prompts

06/21/2026

Version: 2.0.0, Date: June 21, 2026

Custom prompts give you an entirely new way to author in EnginifyAI: instead of a fixed form or an AI-only builder, you assemble your own prompt card from curated sections, fill it in, generate one cohesive prompt, and run it without leaving the app. This release ships the full Custom Prompts area along with sharing, reusable section libraries, a large icon and color refresh, and a handful of fixes elsewhere. The rest of this post is grouped by the part of the app each change affects.

Highlights

  • Build your own prompt cards: Assemble a card from a catalog of sections, add your own custom sections, then generate and run it in-app.
  • Share to a Global library: Publish a card for everyone to browse and run, or keep it private. Shared cards are self-contained and keep working on their own.
  • Section Libraries: Group sections into reusable libraries you can manage from a dedicated My Libraries page.
  • 900 icons and per-card colors: A much larger icon picker and a distinct color for every section make cards easier to build and scan.

Custom Prompts

  • New: A new Custom Prompts area lets you build your own prompt card by assembling sections from a catalog, toggling them on and off, and adding your own custom sections across roughly 16 field types.
  • New: The card composer lets you define an Outputs topic and subtopic tree, drag sections to reorder them, and set the card’s identity: name, description, category and sub-category, purpose, icon, color, and visibility.
  • New: Clone and Customize turns any curated section into a fully editable copy on your card with one click. Its options, slider steps, limits, and AI guidance are all copied over, and the original catalog is never touched.
  • New: On the run page you fill in your card, click Generate to fuse every section into one cohesive prompt, then Run it right in the app with the output shown inline. You can choose Unified output (one blended prompt) or Separate output (one prompt per subtopic), and save any generated prompt straight to your Library.
  • New: A “What should this prompt do?” helper writes a card’s purpose for you from its name, description, and category, so you have a clear starting point.
  • New: A Browse and Run list gives you stats, search, a category filter, My Prompts and favorites toggles, multiple view modes, sort, and pagination, mirroring the analyzer browsing experience you already know.
  • New: Manage Prompts puts a full action row on each of your cards: publish or unpublish, favorite, change the icon, change the color, run, edit, duplicate, and delete, plus a dedicated editor for cards you own.
  • New: Global library sharing lets you publish any card to a shared Global library that everyone can browse and run, or keep it private. Shared cards are self-contained, so they keep working even if you later change your own libraries. A one-time consent step with links to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy appears before your first Global publish, and you can reset your sharing choices anytime under Settings, then Sharing and Privacy.
  • New: Section Libraries let you group sections into reusable collections. A My Libraries page gives you stats, search, view modes, favorites, and pagination, with dedicated pages for editing a library’s sections and its settings.
  • New: A category taxonomy of 29 categories and 247 sub-categories is organized into a two-column mega-menu, so your cards are easy to classify and easy to find.
  • New: Your plan now includes limits for how many custom prompt cards and section libraries you can create, shown in the standard quota display alongside your other usage.
  • New: The icon picker has grown from around 87 icons to 900 icons across 20 categories, including new Marketing and Video sets, so you can find a fitting icon for almost any card.
  • Improved: Every section now gets its own distinct color for easier scanning, kept consistent as you run, create, and edit a card. Owners get a Shuffle Colors option and a one or two column layout toggle that is remembered.
  • Improved: A model selector on the run page lets you choose which AI model runs your prompt, replacing the earlier stop-gap dropdown.
  • Improved: An in-context help toggle explains what each Custom Prompts page does, and a branded confirmation dialog now guards against accidentally discarding unsaved changes.
  • Improved: Field behavior across the composer is more capable and predictable: date, date range, and key-value fields now work, a “Custom” option reveals a free-text box, “None” is mutually exclusive in multi-selects, single-select pills clear when re-clicked, and long option lists switch to a dropdown automatically.
  • Fixed: Outputs selections are now kept across all Outputs sections instead of being dropped, with clearer default topics and subtopics.
  • Fixed: Corrected a bug that mishandled commas in multi-select options.

Analyzers

  • Fixed: The edit page for shared analyzers, the kind created by duplicating a built-in analyzer, now loads correctly instead of failing to open.

Across the App

  • New: A Custom Prompts group in the left navigation gives you quick access to Browse and Run, Create, Manage Prompts, and Section Libraries, and Custom Prompts cards now appear on your dashboard and in Help.
  • Fixed: The Terms of Service and Privacy Policy links on the free-trial signup page now point to the live pages and open in a new tab, instead of leading to pages that did not exist.
