Builder Complexity Levels and Interactive Tips for All 22 Builders
October 7, 2025
Previously, all builders used the same generic complexity labels — Level 1 through Level 5. This release replaces those with domain-specific terminology that reflects what each complexity level actually means in context. The Creative Builder’s levels now read “Foundational → Professional → Imaginative → Innovative → Visionary,” while the Analysis Builder uses “Surface-Level → Professional → Deep-Dive → Strategic → Expert-Level.” Each builder also gets a custom tip card with guidance on best practices, and complexity level markers are now clickable for faster selection.
New Features
- Domain-specific complexity terminology for all builders — Each builder now displays complexity level names that reflect its domain. Examples include:
- Creative Builder: Foundational → Professional → Imaginative → Innovative → Visionary
- Analysis Builder: Surface-Level → Professional → Deep-Dive → Strategic → Expert-Level
- Data Builder: Basic Structures → Professional → Analytical → Architectural → Master-Level
- Task Builder: Quick Task → Standard Task → Enhanced Task → Advanced Task → Expert Task
- Teaching Builder: Basic Templates → Professional Structures → Analysis Frameworks → Strategic Architectures → Master Paradigms
- Healthcare Builder: Basic Clinical → Medical Leadership
- Financial Builder: Basic Financial → Regulatory & Risk Excellence
- And many more builders, each with unique, contextually appropriate terminology
- Clickable complexity markers — The numbered markers (1–5) on the complexity slider are now clickable. Instead of only dragging the slider, you can click any marker to jump directly to that level. Hover effects with color transitions indicate which markers are interactive.
- Contextual descriptions per level — Selecting a complexity level now displays a description explaining what that level means for the specific builder you’re using. For the Creative Builder, Level 5 (“Visionary”) explains it targets transformative creative vision; for the Analysis Builder, Level 5 (“Expert-Level”) explains it involves hypothesis testing and full analytical rigor.
- Custom tip cards for builders — Every builder now includes a contextual guidance card explaining its primary use case, recommended complexity-vs-quantity tradeoffs, specific output recommendations, and domain-specific best practices. Coverage spans all builder categories:
- 7 archetype builders (creative, analysis, data, reasoning, task, teaching, student learning)
- 2 persona builders (individual, team)
- 3 specialized builders (business, research, meta-prompt)
- 4 industry builders (financial, healthcare, legal, technical)
- 3 integration builders (API, platform, tool-chain)
- 3 compliance builders (audit, ethics, regulatory)
Improvements
- Graceful fallback for unconfigured builders — Any builder that hasn’t yet received custom complexity metadata falls back to universal default labels, so the experience remains consistent even as new builders are added.
- Interactive slider enhancements — The complexity selection interface now includes smooth transition animations, hover color changes on markers, and level badges that display the contextual label (e.g., “Visionary” instead of “Level 5”), making the entire control more polished and informative.
