Category Reorganization, Smart Filtering & 11 Builders
Version: 1.18.0, Date: October 13, 2025
Builder categories now reflect how you actually use builders, with 11 meaningful groupings replacing the previous flat structure. A dual-filter system lets you narrow by what you want to create (specialty) and how you want to create it (methodology), and search now covers builder names, descriptions, categories, specialties, tags, and best-for descriptions. Every category also has its own color for instant visual recognition. The rest of this post is grouped by app area.
Highlights
- 11 semantic builder categories: Each with a unique color for instant visual recognition.
- Dual specialty + methodology filters: Narrow by what you want to create and how you want to create it.
- Enhanced search: Covers names, descriptions, categories, specialties, tags, and best-for descriptions.
- Human-readable difficulty labels: Beginner through Master, replacing generic “Level 1 to 5.”
Builders
- New: 11 semantic builder categories. Builders are now organized into categories that reflect how you actually use them: Analysis & Research, Business Strategy, Compliance & Governance, Learning & Teaching, Prompt Engineering, Specialized Industries, Technical & Code, Thinking & Reasoning, Workflows & Automation, and Writing & Content. Each has a unique color (cyan, purple, amber, emerald, indigo, and more) that appears on cards, badges, and a subtle bottom stripe for instant visual recognition.
- New: Specialty filtering. A new Specialty dropdown filters builders by what you want to create: articles and long-form content, business and startup materials, technical development assets, marketing and advertising copy, and 14 more specialty areas. This answers the question “I need to create X, which builder should I use?”
- New: Methodology filtering. A separate Methodology dropdown filters by how builders operate: AI prompt engineering, data analytics, structured frameworks, strategic planning, and 8 more approaches. This answers “I want to use a particular approach, which builders support it?”
- New: Combined filtering. Specialty and Methodology filters work together, so you can narrow down to exactly the right builder. For example, filter by “technical-development” specialty and “structured-framework” methodology to find builders optimized for creating structured technical documentation.
- New: Enhanced search. The search bar now searches across builder names, descriptions, categories, specialties, tags, and best-for descriptions, so you are more likely to find what you are looking for regardless of how you describe it.
- New: Expanded stats dashboard. The builders page now shows five stat cards instead of three: Total Builders, Categories, Specialties, Total Outputs, and Pinned Builders. All stats update dynamically and use color-coded cards for quick scanning.
- New: Human-readable difficulty labels. Builder cards now display difficulty as Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Expert, or Master instead of “Level 1 to 5,” making it immediately clear what experience level each builder targets.
- New: Output count badges. Each builder card shows how many outputs it produces (for example “15 outputs”), helping you compare builders at a glance without opening each one.
- Improved: Builder tips are now read directly from each builder’s configuration instead of being duplicated, so tips stay consistent between the browsing page and the detail page.
- Improved: A Reset button appears in the filter area only when you have active filters, keeping the interface clean when you are browsing without filters.
- Improved: All filtering (category, specialty, methodology, search) now happens instantly without a page refresh, making the browsing experience feel fast and responsive.
- Improved: The stats dashboard adapts from two columns on mobile to three on tablet to five on desktop, making efficient use of available screen space.
- Improved: Cleaner builder cards. Time estimates and specialty badges have been removed from cards in favor of the more useful difficulty label and output count, reducing visual noise.
- Fixed: The AI model selector no longer flickers or triggers excessive API calls. A debounce mechanism now ensures a single call per filter change, dropdown controls are disabled during loading to prevent rapid clicks, and a fixed-height container eliminates layout jumping. Model selection is smooth and flicker-free.
