Clearer AI Provider Errors & Builder Favorites
Version: 1.17.1, Date: October 12, 2025
AI provider errors are now clear and actionable throughout EnginifyAI. When a provider hits a safety filter, token limit, or service problem, you get a specific message explaining what happened, what to do about it, and a direct link to the provider’s status page. This release also introduces builder favorites, multiple view modes, and an expanded builder catalog with 40+ types across eight categories. The rest of this post is grouped by app area.
Highlights
- Clear, actionable AI error messages: Know exactly what happened and what to do next.
- Builder favorites: Star your most-used builders and filter to just those.
- Four view modes for browsing: List, two-column, three-column, and four-column grids.
- 40+ builder types across eight categories: A significant expansion of the builder catalog.
Builders
- New: Builder favorites. Star your most-used builders to keep them easily accessible. A filled yellow star marks favorites, and a “Show Favorites” filter narrows the list to just your pinned builders. The stats dashboard shows your pinned builder count alongside other metrics.
- New: Multiple view modes. The builders page now offers four view options: list view, two-column grid, three-column grid, and four-column grid. Choose the density that works best for how you browse.
- New: Sorting options. A new dropdown lets you sort builders alphabetically (A to Z or Z to A), replacing the previous single-button toggle.
- New: 40+ builder types organized into eight categories: Archetypes (8), Compliance (3), Industries (4), Integrations (3), Methodology (4), Personas (2), Specialized (3), and Workflows (3). Each includes its own instruction set and template examples.
- New: A “Back to Builders” button now appears in the header of every builder detail page, so you can return to the browsing view without hunting for the navigation.
- Improved: The AI Model Selection section in builders is now labeled “5. AI Model Selection” for consistency with the numbered section pattern used throughout the builder form.
Analyzers
- New: A “Back to Analyzers” button on every analyzer detail page mirrors the new builders navigation.
- Improved: Analyzer detail pages now include an informational tip box (matching the builder page design) with guidance on how to get the best results from the selected analyzer.
Across the App
- Improved: Clear, actionable AI error messages. When an AI provider returns an error, you see a specific explanation tailored to what went wrong. Examples include:
- Content blocked by the provider’s safety filters, with guidance on how to adjust your prompt
- Token limit exceeded, with a suggestion to shorten your input or choose a model with a larger context window
- Incomplete generation, explaining the response was cut short
- Each error includes a direct link to the relevant provider’s status page (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or xAI) so you can check whether the issue is on their end.
- Improved: Consistent error format across all providers. Error messages follow the same clear structure regardless of which AI provider you are using, so you always know what the problem is and what action to take.
