Workflow Builder Overhaul: Icons, Colors, and Sync

Workflow builder gets a comprehensive overhaul in this release, making it simpler and more dependable to build, save, and run your workflows. You can now start from just a goal, give each workflow a distinct look, and save your prompts and your workflows through clearer, separate options, while your output views stay consistent as you work. Here is everything that changed in the Workflows area.

Workflows

• New: Personalize each workflow with a custom icon and color. You can now assign an icon and color to any workflow, and your choice is saved whether you are creating a new workflow or updating an existing one. Previously these settings were dropped on save, so every workflow looked alike; now your library is far easier to scan and organize.
• Improved: Start a new workflow with just a goal. The setup card no longer asks for a title and category before you begin. You describe your goal and start building right away, then name and categorize the workflow later when you save it.
• Improved: Built-in guidance for getting oriented. A new information card at the top of the builder explains how it works and when to use Run Workflow versus Run Step, so the difference is clear from the start.
• Improved: Pick the model that powers each run. The provider and model you choose in the builder now directly drive how your workflow executes, and the model selector is clearly marked as required so it is never missed. You stay in control of which AI runs your workflow.
• Improved: Redesigned prompt library saving. Saving your prompts now uses a simple three-option switcher: save to your default library, save to an existing library, or create a new one. Each option includes a short note explaining exactly what it will do, and the panel now reflects that a workflow can produce multiple prompts to save, not just one.
• Improved: Redesigned workflow saving. Saving the workflow itself is now its own clearly separated area with two options: update the existing workflow, or create a new one. Each option describes what will happen, and this is where you set the workflow’s category, title, icon, and color. Choosing update existing pre-fills these fields from the workflow you already have open.
• Improved: Output views stay in sync. Collapsing or expanding a panel, and switching between formatted and raw text, now apply consistently across the Output, Prompt, and All Outputs tabs, and your choice carries over as you move between steps. Previously each view tracked its own state and reset unexpectedly, which made reviewing a multi-step workflow frustrating.
• Improved: Cleaner All Outputs view. The edit icon has been removed from the All Outputs tab, since editing happens directly in the Output or Prompt tabs. The combined view is now focused purely on reviewing all of your results in one place.
• Improved: Clearer page titles. The builder now shows Create Workflow when you are starting fresh and displays the workflow’s name when you are editing an existing one, so it is always obvious which mode you are in.
• Fixed: A “Step not found” error when rerunning a step. Rerunning a step, particularly the last one in a workflow, could fail with a “Step not found” error. Reruns now work reliably without losing track of your existing steps.
• Fixed: Steps getting stuck on “In Progress” after a usage limit. If you reached a usage limit mid-run and closed the notice, affected steps could stay stuck showing In Progress indefinitely. They now reset correctly, so you can continue without reloading the page.
