Dense List View and Section Category Upgrades

A dense list view is now available on every gallery in the app, packing roughly forty to fifty percent more rows onto a single screen for anyone managing a large collection. Alongside it, the section library area has been renamed to Section Categories throughout, and the field authoring experience picked up a long list of practical improvements.

Highlights

Section Categories

• New: The Favorites tile is now a filter. Click it to show only your favorited categories and click again to clear, with a highlighted ring and filled star while it is active. It stays in sync with the star toggle in the toolbar.
• New: The section editing modal now shows a live preview of what the end user sees, rendered with the real controls and pre-filled with sample values. Anything you type into the preview is thrown away, so you can try the fields as your users will experience them without saving test data.

• Improved: What was called a library throughout this area is now called a category, matching the page heading you already see. The change runs through the stat tile, tabs, search, buttons, edit and delete labels, tooltips, empty states, confirmation messages, and the settings and editing pages. The Curated tab and Loose Sections keep their names, because they describe genuinely different things.
• Improved: Clicking a section’s title opens its editor. This works in all five card views now, where previously the title was only clickable in the grid views and the list rows required you to find the edit button.
• Improved: New fields no longer arrive pre-filled with the words New field for you to delete. The name now behaves as a placeholder that clears the moment you start typing, and it follows the type you choose, so selecting Email shows Email and selecting Number shows Number. If you leave the name alone, the field saves under its type name rather than a generic label.
• Improved: Field types are listed alphabetically in the section modal, making a specific type easier to find.
• Improved: Yes and no toggles always display a state word now, falling back to Yes and No when you leave the labels blank. Previously a toggle with no labels was a bare switch with nothing to tell the reader what it meant. Toggles also show their help text like every other field type.
• Improved: Tag fields accept comma separated entry. You can type a comma, paste a whole list, or click away from the field, in addition to adding tags one at a time. A hint line under the field explains both paths.
• Improved: Key and value fields let you label the two columns, so a scoring field can read Criterion and Weight instead of the generic name and value. The inputs also use the standard compact height.
• Improved: Bullet list fields are now a proper row editor. Each entry lives in its own growing row with a dotted separator, so a long item wraps inside its own row instead of looking like it has started a new one. Enter, paste, and backspace all behave the way they do in any list editor you have used.
• Improved: A field left without a title now falls back to its type name in the preview, matching what already happened when you saved. No more untitled fields staring back at you.
• Improved: The section editor’s empty state was restyled to match the one used in the Variables editor, with a lighter dashed box in place of the oversized icon.

• Fixed: The move menu is no longer clipped. Choosing to move a section to another category used to open a dropdown that was cut off by the edge of the card, making it unusable. It now opens anchored to the button, flips up or down depending on where there is room, and closes when you click away or scroll.

Prompt Studio

• New: Auto-write for the short description when creating a custom prompt. One click drafts a one-line summary from the name and category you have already entered, metered like every other AI action in the app.

• Improved: The topic filter dropdown now reads as a proper bulleted list, with tighter rows and a left-aligned All topics option at the top.

Across the App

• New: A dense list view has been added to every gallery, joining the existing list and two, three, and four-column layouts. It renders as a single bordered table with hairline dividers instead of separate cards, using compact rows, a smaller icon tile, and icon-only actions. If you manage a large collection, it fits roughly forty to fifty percent more rows on screen than the list view did.

• Improved: The dense view is the first button in the view toggle, and the original list view moved to a distinct icon so the two are easy to tell apart at a glance. Your choice is remembered per page, so you can keep a dense view where you have hundreds of items and a roomier view where you have a handful.
• Improved: The dense view is available consistently across Variables, prompts, libraries, custom prompts and your own prompts, Section Categories, builders, analyzers and your own analyzers, Prompt Chains, and the library, variable pack, and section editors.
