Category Filter Consistency and Better Auto Write

08/26/2026

Version: 2.9.1, Date: August 26, 2026

The category filter now behaves the same way wherever you meet it: same size, same shape, same position in the toolbar, and it no longer changes size once you apply a filter. This release also fixes auto written descriptions that came back generic because the wrong kind of description was being requested, and brings the topic pack, variable pack and category dialogs into line with each other.

Building Blocks

  • Improved: The category filter now matches the visibility control beside it in height, corner radius, border, fill and focus styling. When a filter is applied it keeps its highlighted fill but stays the same size, so the toolbar no longer shifts as you filter.
  • Improved: The filter sits in the same place on every list. On the Topics, Variables and Sections pages it now follows the Curated and My toggle and the search box, rather than leading the right hand group of controls.
  • Improved: The topic pack, variable pack and category dialogs now use consistent wording. The category dialog follows the parent you selected, so creating under a parent reads as a new subtopic and names the topic it sits under, with the buttons and delete labels matching.
  • Improved: All three dialogs share the same footer, right aligned: Cancel, Delete, Save changes. Delete is now a labelled red button rather than an unlabelled trash icon sitting after Save, and it still just opens the usual confirmation.
  • Improved: Character counters sit beside the name and description labels, the required name carries a red asterisk, and the dialog header names the record you are editing and updates live as you type, falling back to the saved name if you clear the field.
  • Fixed: Auto written descriptions on categories and topics described the wrong kind of thing. A subtopic named Python would come back described as something that organizes prompt sections. Category and subcategory descriptions are now written for what they actually are, and a subtopic is described as a narrower slice of its parent, for example Python under Coding.
  • Fixed: Auto written descriptions on topic packs described a set of typed inputs, which is what a variable pack is. A topic pack is now described as a set of topics and subtopics that steers what the AI covers.

Prompt Cards

  • Improved: The toolbar on Browse and Run and My Prompts now reads search, visibility, then categories, matching the order used on the Building Blocks pages.
  • Fixed: On My Prompts, favorites, view modes and sort had lost their right alignment and fallen in with the left hand controls. The toolbar is back to its intended two group layout.

09/01/2026

Version: 2.12.3, Date: September 1, 2026 Highlights Prompt Chains is the headline of this release, but the real theme is agreement: the dashboard, the help center and the left menu had drifted apart, so the same feature could go by two names depending on where you looked.
