Prompt Blueprints: A Single Name for Prompt Studio
Version: 2.13.0, Date: September 2, 2026
Highlights
A Prompt Blueprint is a guided prompt experience that someone designs once and anyone can run. The author decides the questions, meaning the sections, the topic choices and the exposed variables. Whoever runs it answers those questions, presses Generate, and gets back a refined prompt. Until now this feature went by five different names depending on which screen you were looking at, and the guides described labels that were not on screen. This release settles on one vocabulary and rewrites everything that uses it
- A Prompt Blueprint is what you build in Prompt Studio. One name, used everywhere, instead of five.
- Authoring and running are now clearly separate. The copy says who can do what, on which screen.
- The guides were rewritten. Including a documented button that never existed.
Prompt Studio
- Improved: The saved thing you create is a Prompt Blueprint, or just a blueprint. A block inside one is a Section. The reusable pieces you assemble it from are Building Blocks. The word “card” is retired from the interface entirely.
- Improved: The sidebar now reads Browse and Run, Create a Blueprint and My Blueprints, and the dashboard tile and help index match.
- Improved: The headings, stat tiles, buttons, search placeholders, empty states, tooltips and confirmation messages across the browse, my blueprints, create, edit and run screens all use the new wording. The composer panel that read Custom Prompt Form Sections is now Blueprint Sections, and its counter counts sections rather than cards.
- Improved: The split between authoring and running is now visible in the wording. Whoever created a blueprint can edit it and everyone else can run it, and the browse and run screens no longer use build, design or compose language, which belongs on the create and manage screens.
- Fixed: The authoring guide told you to fill in the Main Idea and then press Generate on the create screen. There is no Generate there; the preview panel is display only. The guide now says so and points at Save and Run as the way to test what you have built.
- Fixed: The guide’s note about credits was wrong. Designing a blueprint costs nothing. Generating and running cost credits, and so does using AI to draft a description or purpose.
Across the App
- Improved: The Prompt Studio guides have been rewritten. The overview opens with a plain definition and compares Prompt Studio against Templates, Analyzers, Chains and Library, so it is clear which one to reach for. The authoring guide is now a three step walkthrough that documents topics and variables properly for the first time. The run guide opens by saying there is nothing to build there.
- Improved: Help page titles match the left menu exactly: Browse and Run, Create a Blueprint, My Blueprints, Run a Blueprint and Edit a Blueprint. Cross links and the help index use the same five names.
