Prompt Chains and a Dashboard That Matches the Menu
Version: 2.12.3, Date: September 1, 2026
Highlights
- Workflows are now Prompt Chains. The rename is complete across every screen in the feature.
- Building Blocks is on the dashboard. A card linking Categories, Topics, Sections and Variables.
- The help center mirrors the menu. Same sections, same names, and two guides that were returning errors now exist.
Prompt Chains is the headline of this release, but the real theme is agreement: the dashboard, the help center and the left menu had drifted apart, so the same feature could go by two names depending on where you looked. This release brings all three back into line and finishes the rename from Workflows.
Prompt Chains
- Improved: Everything that used to say workflow now says chain: headings, buttons, tooltips, the search placeholder, empty states and confirmation messages, across the chains list, a chain’s detail page and the run screen. Just over a hundred labels changed.
- Improved: The dashboard action reads Create a Chain rather than Create Workflow.
- Improved: Both chains help guides were swept for the old wording so they match the screens they describe.
Dashboard
- New: A Building Blocks card links straight to Categories, Topics, Sections and Variables.
- Improved: New Prompt is now Save a Prompt, matching the sidebar, the prompts dropdown, the library detail button and the form heading itself.
- Removed: Sections has been taken off the Prompt Studio card, since it now lives under Building Blocks.
Across the App
- Improved: The help center index has been restructured to mirror the left menu, with sections for Prompt Studio and Prompt Chains and a new Building Blocks card linking all four blocks.
- Improved: The header on every help page, twenty seven in total, has been tidied. The redundant back arrow is gone, since the Help Center link beside it already does that job, and the icon is now a consistent size on every page instead of varying from one guide to the next.
- Fixed: The Categories and Topics help guides were already linked from the question mark icon on those pages but did not exist, so clicking through returned an error. Both guides have been written.
- Fixed: The dashboard help page described a dashboard that no longer exists, listing twelve cards and features that have since been renamed or replaced. It now walks through the eight cards that are actually there.
