Prompt Studio Layout and Clearer Building Blocks Labels

08/31/2026

Version: 2.12.0, Date: August 31, 2026

Prompt Studio’s editor has been reorganized so the left column is where you configure a prompt and the right column is purely the preview, with everything that defines the prompt’s identity now authored in one place. The Building Blocks pages also drop the internal word “pack” in favor of the thing each page actually manages, so a page about topics says topics. Nothing changed in how anything works; this is presentation and wording.

Prompt Studio

  • Improved: The Save Prompt card moved into the left column on both the create and edit pages instead of spanning the full width underneath both columns. The left column now configures, the right column previews.
  • Improved: Prompt Icon and Prompt Colour moved out of the Save card and into the Custom Prompt Setup card, between the purpose field and Visibility, so the prompt’s name, description, icon and colour are all set in one place.
  • Improved: The Save card is now just its buttons, and its subtitle no longer refers to setting an icon or colour.
  • Improved: Category chips now appear on the dense, list and two column grid views of both Browse and Run and My Prompts. The three and four column grids stay chip free, since there is not enough width to read them.
  • Improved: The section count now comes before the category chips in the dense and list rows, and the count icon is purple in every view on every list page.
  • Fixed: The dense and list views on My Prompts showed a bare section count with no icon beside it. They now match the other views.

Building Blocks

  • Improved: Each page now names what it manages. Sections offers New Section and New Curated Section, My Sections and a search box that says sections, and Topics and Variables follow the same pattern with their own nouns.
  • Improved: The category, topic and variable dialogs follow through: titles, name labels, description placeholders, submit and delete buttons, and confirmation messages all use the right word.
  • Improved: The topic and variable detail pages no longer call the thing you are editing a pack, in headers, subtitles, empty states, not found messages or delete confirmations.
  • Improved: Both pages now show three tiles, with the first one named for the tab you are on, so it reads Curated Categories or My Categories depending on where you are. On Topics, the second tile is now labelled Subtopics, so two tiles are no longer counting different things under the same word.
  • Fixed: The category dialog was still using topic and subtopic wording throughout, inherited from the topic dialog it was based on. It now reads category and subcategory, including the parent selector and its top level option.
  • Removed: Categories and Topics each dropped the Curated stat tile. It counted the same rows the Curated tab already showed, so it repeated that number and read zero whenever you were on the My tab.
