Curated Section Categories Open to Everyone
Version: 2.4.14, Date: August 18, 2026
Curated section categories are now browsable by every user, not just admins. Until now you could use platform-authored categories inside the prompt builder but had no way to open one up and see how it was put together. This release opens them up read-only, brings the create and edit previews in line with what actually happens at run time, and makes every authoring window resizable.
Highlights
- Curated categories, open to browse. See how platform-authored categories are built, read-only.
- Try before you use. Read-only previews stay live, so you can test the fields without saving anything.
- Previews match the run page. Variable controls now appear where you author, not just where you run.
- Resize any authoring window. Drag the edges and corners of modals and slide-overs.
Section Categories
- New: The My and Curated tabs now appear for everyone on the section categories page. Curated categories are read-only for non-admins: the cards are visible and clickable, while the create, edit, delete, and color controls are hidden rather than shown and then refused.
- New: Opening a curated category shows the sections inside it. The list is view-only, with the section creation, editing, moving, deleting, restoring, and status controls hidden.
- New: Opening an individual section in a curated category shows a read-only editor. The configuration side is locked and Save is replaced with Close, but the live preview of what the end user sees stays fully interactive. You can type into the fields and see how the section behaves before you decide to use it, and nothing you enter is saved.
- New: Read-only cards gained a view action in all five view modes, so there is an obvious way in rather than a card that simply happens to be clickable. A read-only badge sits in the page header, and curated cards carry their own indicator, shown as a label in the list views and as a small icon in the corner of grid cards.
- New: The section editing modal now uses the same two-column layout as the variable editor, with a live preview of the real card beside your configuration. Defaults are pre-filled, and edits inside the preview are discarded.
- Improved: The section category picker now expands its previews automatically and shows just the category name and its field count in the header. The tab row wraps to a second line instead of scrolling sideways, so you can see every option at once.
Prompt Studio
- New: The Main Idea preview on the create and edit pages now shows the plus Variable link and your active variable inputs once packs are attached and variables enabled. What you see while authoring now matches the run page exactly, so there is no surprise the first time someone uses your prompt.
- Improved: The attach variable packs panel gained a direct link to manage your variables, opens on the Curated tab by default, and remembers which tab you were last on.
- Removed: The percent complete progress footer has been removed from the create and edit pages. It reported a number that you could not act on and that did not reflect whether your prompt was actually ready to run.
Across the App
- New: Authoring windows are resizable. Modals can be dragged from any edge or corner and stay centered as they grow, and slide-over panels can be widened from their left edge. This applies to the section, variable, and global section modals, and to the section category and variable pack panels. If you are authoring something with a long field list, you no longer have to work inside a fixed-size box.
- Improved: Pages that hold both your own and curated items now lead with the Curated tab and open there by default, on both the variables and section categories pages, so the platform-authored material is what you land on first.
